#followfriday: YUI Developers on Twitter
The @YUILibrary account on Twitter is a good information source for those of us who follow the project. Many of the individual developers who write YUI code every day are now on the service as well, and I wanted to gather all those accounts together in a single post for the sake of convenience.
Here's the formal list, which you can follow as a group, and here are the individual accounts:
- @admo: Adam Moore is one of the original YUI engineers; among many other things, he has written the YUI Event Utility, YUI Doc, and the original version of the YUI PHP Loader.
- @allenr: Allen Rabinovich built YUI 2's Uploader Control and SWF Utility; he's currently working with Tripp Bridges on the new YUI 3 Charts project.
- @caridy: Caridy is our Miami Bureau Chief and best known as the author of the Bubbling Library for YUI 2; we looked at his latest gallery contribution yesterday.
- @chadauld: Chad Auld is the author of Yahoo!'s Sideline AIR app for Twitter (built with YUI), and he's driven the open-source release of the YUI PHP Loader.
- @davglass: Dav does too many things to enumerate here, but his 2009 focus has been the YUILibrary.com site and the YUI 3 Gallery.
- @dezziness: Satyen Desai is hard at work building out the YUI 3 widget foundation; he owns Calendar and Container in the YUI 2 world.
- @drdrace: Andres Narvaez works on the YUI Carousel Control.
- @g13n: Gopal Venkatesan is YUI's Bangalore Bureau Chief and leads development on the YUI Carousel Control.
- @goonieiam: Gonzalo Cordero is a frontend engineer at Yahoo! who has been organizing our participation in BayJax meetups and has contributed work to the YUI DataTable project.
- @izs: Isaac Schlueter is developing the new YUI 3 AutoComplete Control and has taken over development on YUI Compressor.
- @ls_n: Luke Smith is a coder, scholar, and teacher who owns, among many other things, the YUI JSON Utility.
- @msweeney: Matt Sweeney is a YUI project architect and author of numerous components in both YUI 2 and 3, including the YUI 3 Node component. (He spoke at YUICONF 2009 about performance in YUI 3.)
- @slicknet: Nicholas Zakas works on YUI's Test, Profiler, and Cookie utilities.
- @standardpixel: Eric Gelinas has contributed work on the YUI DataTable Control.
- @toddkloots: Todd Kloots is the author of the YUI 2 Menu Control; these days, he's thinking hard about accessibility and ARIA and making sure that YUI 3 is as accessible as possible. [It's worth noting that Victor Tsaran (@vick08) is our special consultant on issues of accessibility.]
Note: As is the case with social networks generally, what people post on Twitter represents their own momentary whim or deeply held conviction, not that of Yahoo! or the YUI project.
